Not sure what to expect in an interview?

Aviation Business has become a lot more savvy about how it gets the information. In your next interview you’re most likely to be asked one of these questions:

  1. What are your strengths?
  2. What are your weaknesses?
  3. Why do you want to leave your current company?
  4. Are you willing to relocate?
  5. Are you willing to travel?
  6. How did you hear about this position?
  • Describe yourself.
  • Why should we hire you?
  • What are your salary requirements?
  • What are your career goals?
  • How you handled a difficult situation?
  • What are your hobbies?
  • What do you like the most and least about working in the aviation industry?
  • This is only a short list of ready-to -go questions that anyone can be prepared in order to deliver a comfortable, flexible and confident speech. But interviewers are trying to catch a glimpse of the unrehearsed candidate in an unguarded moment by asking him odd questions that are nearly impossible to prepare for, to test the out-of-the- box- thinking.

    • What are the benefits of wearing seatbelt?
    • What would you do to unload a Boeing 747 full of jelly beans?
    • Describe “yellow” to a blind person.
    • How many people flew out from Chicago last year?
    • If you were on an island and could only bring 3 things ,what would you bring?

For employers a quirky question is an effective way of assessing how a jobseeker reacts to pressure, but for job candidates it can prove to be an awkward moment.

Even if you don’t know the exact answer, what you want to do is start sounding out how would you come out to the solution. Start saying out loud how would you solve the challenge, so they can see your thinking skills. As a general rule, the trick to answering even the toughest or strangest question is your ability to accentuate the positive, providing as much details as you can, but always calm and confident.

Our Elite Service Course is a training solution that covers all the topics you need to know when applying for a job in aviation industry. We’ll teach you tips & tricks about phone / online interview, so you won’t be caught unprepared in any stage of the recruitment process.
